The KG Ensemble Event is a wonderful opportunity for students to perform duet, trio or concerto repertoire. They will be able to perform in a small recital venue for two adjudicators and receive valuable feedback, comments, and a detailed score (0.00 to 10.00) of their performance. Family is invited but must remain for the duration of assigned mini recital.
Duet or Trio repertoire and performance requirements:
All performers must be students - no teachers or adults.
Duet and Trio music does not need to be memorized but students must have 2 original copies if playing from the score: one for the performers and one for the judges.
Students must provide an original score with measures numbered for the adjudicators.
If no music is provided, a full point deduction will be taken.
Anyone not abiding by current Copyright Laws will receive no score.
Appropriate recital attire and conduct is expected.
Concerto repertoire and performance requirements:
Student music must be memorized.
Reduced orchestration or second piano score may be played by teacher or adult from original score.
Students must provide an original score with measures numbered for the adjudicators.
If no music is provided, a full point deduction will be taken.
Anyone not abiding by current Copyright Laws will receive no score.
Appropriate recital attire and conduct is expected.
Aside from that, there are no age, level, or specific composer requirements.
Teachers will receive their students' critiques after the event day and are responsible for their distribution. Students who are nominated for Outstanding Ensemble performances will receive their special awards at the Keyboard Gymnastics Awards Ceremony in May.
