The KG Theory Event is a test that can be prepared for and taken anytime during the year. Teachers should determine when the student is ready and administer the test (after agreeing to follow specific guidelines to ensure the integrity of the testing)  

More than one level may be passed in a year but students cannot repeat levels if they have received a passing score of 7.0 or higher.

Official KG tests will be mailed/delivered to the teacher the first week of April. If students are prepared to test prior to April, the teacher may request tests as needed by contacting Charlene Zundel.

Lists of requirements for each level are found in the teacher manual and practice tests are available to participating teachers to determine the appropriate level to place students.

Although not required, many teachers and students find it helpful to use the official TCW Theory Gymnastics & Ear Training Books, which may be purchased by clicking here.

Completed tests need to be submitted to the coordinator by the designated deadline in May.
